A Peaceful Place Filled with Meaningful Pieces
After a busy workweek, our client was looking for a quiet city retreat where he could unwind during weekends.
Several decorative pieces, each holding personal meaning or memories, needed to be part of this space.
A Journey Around the World and Through Time
To bring this vision to life, we selected a mansard apartment that had stood empty for over forty years.
The walls were finished in cement grey, the doors softly patinated, and an anthracite carpet was laid throughout to create a continuous, open feeling.
Most importantly, the decorative pieces and paintings the client had collected over the years were given a place of honour.
This diversity of objects led to a distinctly eclectic style - Japanese chairs mixed with Flemish antiques and French objets de curiosité.
The result is both a journey around the world and through time: modern art in dialogue with 1970s influences and objects over a century old.
The mix resulted in a colourful yet serene mansard apartment in a classic eclectic loft style.
